In this talk Air Marshal Black Robertson, author of Fighters in the Blood and A Spitfire Named Connie, will be reflecting on lesser known aspects of the Battle of Britain. He’ll identify just a few of those whose largely unheralded contributions helped ensure the nation’s survival in the summer of 1940 – a time when the RAF faced a formidable opponent, a Luftwaffe right at the top of its game.
