The Bridge for Heroes is a charity organization that provides mental health and wellbeing support for the HM Armed Forces Community – serving veterans and their families. In providing a single point of contact at the Charity’s Bridge Centre in King’s Lynn, they are able to offer holistic support to all those who seek help, working with beneficiaries to resolve their issues and when necessary, signposting them to the services that they require.

You can visit their visit for more information - https://www.thebridgeforheroes.org/

The Bridge carried out many activities such as arts and crafts, bicycle maintenance, cooking, crochet, golf, IT training, photography group etc. This is what one of the veterans who participated in their bicycle maintenance classes had to say about them –

“I thoroughly enjoyed taking part in the cycling activity organized by the Bridge for Heroes. Until now, I had always relied upon a friend or a bike repair shop to fix all my problems with my bike. I was encouraged to attend the bicycle maintenance class and learned how to change the brake cables on my bike. The session boosted my confidence, and has now become a regular activity I partake in. I am not only able to fix my own bike, but also help out at the charity where I can fix other bikes that can then be passed on to other veterans in need as well.”
